Flood Relief Assistance at Kaliabar

As Assam experiences grave flood situation, areas as Kaliabar/Jakhalabandha which has remained out of the ambit of floods for the last 6 decades have been inundated. The area is facing severe shortage of clean drinking water which poses a massive threat to the health of the flood affected people. APPL in collaboration with ABITA Zone III has initiated flood relief initiatives. Since 14th August medical staff team of 3 APPL Misa estates with the help of Heath Department, Govt. of Assam have been reaching clean drinking water and Medical support to the victims of flood.  The workers of Sagmootea and Nonoi have generously offered quantities of Ration from their individual quota for the affected people. The initiatives have been applauded by the State and District Administration. APPL looks forward to be of help in capacity to the flood torn people of Assam in days to come.
