On January 12, 2023, Vision Spring organized a panel discussion in Vivanta, Guwahati, to launch their new program- Livelihood In Focus. The program aims to minimize loss in productivity and income due to vision issues, especially for those engaged in near-distance livelihood practices, such as- artisans, tea pluckers, etc.
On 9th December 2022, Amalgamated Plantations Private Industrial Training Institute (APPITI, Rowta), was honored to welcome Mr. Sunil D’Souza (Managing Director and CEO), Mr. Ajit Krishnakumar (COO) and Mr. Rajdeep Sikand (Sr. Vice President, Commodity Sourcing and Management Organization) of Tata Consumer Products, for a visit. Signing of MoU between HPE & APPL Foundation on the 9th of Aug 2022, wherein Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Pvt Ltd. ( HPE) under their CSR initiative have agreed to help out 10 Tea Estate Hospitals under Amalgamated Plantations Pvt Ltd (APPL) , with the facilities of e Health Centres , where they would be providing the computer hardware for the centres along with Laboratory & other Hospital equipment.
APPL Foundation has been working actively on TB control in the Tea Gardens and HPE has come forward to supply TB diagnostic items. An MoU has been signed between APPL & HPE tonight to facilitate better implementation of the National TB Elimination Programme.

The camp distributed ration essentials to every distressed family in Hathikuli Tea Estate We thank you for assisting our people with this much needed supplies.
Under the SMART Hospital Programme implemented by WISH Foundation in partnership with APPL foundation, the Hospitals have been facilitated with thermo-scanning probe devices.
Dr. Purnananda Khaund and Mr. Jatin Bavishi represented APPL Foundation at the recently concluded UN Foundation-Tata Trusts Conference on Workplace Women's Health & Empowerment in Agriculture Sector. The Conference was attended by global brands, Tea Producers, Industry Experts as well as NGO’s/Social Enterprises amongst others. Dr. Khaund gave a glimpse into the activities of APPL Foundation in the healthcare sector, particularly in the field of Fungal Infections, Nutrition, Technological Innovations and Family Planning.
On Monday, the Community Outreach Programme (Screening and Awareness of common Non-communicable diseases) started in the Amalgamated Plantations Tea Garden Estate
APPL Foundation and Hewlett Packard (India) Software Operation Private Limited (HPISO) have signed an MoU to upgrade the eHealthcare units at Damdim (West Bengal), Powai, Namroop, Kellyden, Hathikuli and facilitate TB screening. The programme visions to screen 15000 probable patients and link them towards curative procedures.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Dhiraj Kakati, Managing Trustee, APPL Foundation and Mr. Sushil Batla, Head CSR Hewlett Packard Enterprise India.
The 6th Batch of Adult Learning Programme (Project Swabhimaan) is complete, and a small presentation ceremony was held to distribute certificates to the qualified students. The learners acknowledged how their lives have improved through these special classes.
A total of 173 students have been trained in basic reading, writing and arithmetic from November 2018 till present, and is gaining greater enthusiasm with every passing batch.
