The Tata Volunteering Week activity took place at the Kellyden Tea Estate on the 9th of March, 2016. The Agri Team and the Kellyden Estate Pepper Core Team joined hands to organize and participate in some voluntary activities by training 20 women farmers from the Goalpara District of Assam.
The theme of the Tata Volunteering Week No. 5 was to accumulate one million hours of volunteering work every year.
The team made their way to Jaikur, located 45 km away from Guwahati, to provide relief to the flood affected victims of the area.

An ‘Eye Screening Camp’ was organized at Nowera Nuddy Tea Estate on 4th October 2015 in collaboration with Greater Lions Eye Hospital, Siliguri. This initiative was a part of TATA Volunteering Week – 4 which is being observed at the estate. The camp was conducted by Dr. S. Paul, Eye Specialist and his team with the help of Estate Medical and Para medical team.
Referral Hospital & Research Centre (RHRC), Chubwa organized the activity “Health Checkup of College Teachers by Medical Specialists & Experience Sharing Motivational Session with Students” on September 20, 2015 at DDR College, Chabua in Dibrugarh, Assam. The team comprised of Specialist of various medical departments viz. Surgery, (Dr. A. Sarman), Medicine (Dr. S. Buragohain), Gynaecology (Dr. A. Hussian) Eye (Dr. S. N. Goswami), ENT (Dr. M. K. Das) & Dental (Dr. V. Pathak).
A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized at Nowera Nuddy Tea Estate under the aegis of Blood Bank, Jalpaiguri District Hospital in association with State Blood Transfusion Council, West Bengal on 02.08.2015 as a social initiative under Social & Environmental Management System (Principle 1) of Rainforest Alliance Certification in the estate.
