Salim Ali, a graduate from Marangi College joined the DLC center in the year 2015 for BASIC course. He successfully completed his BASIC course with flying colours. His interest to learn more made him take admission in the Advance course as well.

A very proud moment for APPITI, Rowta as the DDU –GKY affiliated Sewing Machine Operator (SMO) workshop and office along with a girls hostel was inaugurated. This will open opportunity for many girls the scope to safely reside at the centre and avail the training facility. Many new lives will be changed through SMO training.
The Adult Literacy Programme has been started at Nahorani and Hattigor under which 80 women are receiving basic language and numeracy skills. Moreover they are also being taught the basics of computer functioning.
The skill development training initiatives to improve delivery of services to mother and children of the garden known as Project Sambhuya was launched in April. Now under the programme doctors and nurses form the tea garden hospitals are been trained to provide quality healthcare services.
The HP classroom at Chubwa has been recently equipped to provide digital literacy training to 15 adolescent children. The children are very enthusiastic and we hope soon the programme will expand and more than one batch will be run concurrently.
