GUWAHATI, Feb 15: To acknowledge the contribution of the tea tribes in the State, APPL Foundation is organising the fourth edition of Sirish™ Festival on February 17 and 18 at Misa High School field in Nagaon district, stated a press release. The programme is also co-sponsored by State government, Amalgamated Plantations (P) Limited, ABITA, SBI, NRL, Yes Bank, etc.

Guwahati: Two icons of Assam's tea tribe community - Sushil Kumar and Dulal Manki - will be honoured at Sirish Festival, being organised by APPL Foundation, at Misa, near Nagaon, on Saturday and Sunday.
"A press release was held on 14th February 2018 at Press Club of Guwahati. Journalists from various media agencies attended the meet. Mr. Dhiraj Kakati (Managing Trustee, APPL Foundation), Mr. Pratul Bora (Senior Manager, Agribusiness, Amalgamated Plantations) along with Mr. Manas Robin and Mr. Subil Barg attended the meet.
Dedsung Baro, an aspirant who successfully completed his training in Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) trade in the 2007-09 batch from APPITI Rowta. Soon after he completed the training he was placed at Mumbai CFS where he worked for 15 months.
