A formal foundation stone laying ceremony for new girls hostel at APPITI Rowta was conducted on 23rd November 2017. This would go a long way in scaling up the volume of trading, specifically for women candidates. Lack of safe and secure environment in Rowta had limited its reach.

An area has been intentionally kept uncultivated, within the garden premises of Diffl oo Tea Estate for the specific purpose of facilitating elephant and other wildlife migration between Kaziranga and Karbi Anglong. Together with Balipara Foundation, a dossier is being prepared of all the plant, animal and bird species found in here.

Cancer Treatment with Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata

In partnership with Tata Medical Centre (TMC), Kolkata, cancer screening is conducted at RHRC, Chubwa and the estate hospital in Damdim. Annually, 10 needy cancer patients from within the estate workforce of Amalgamated Plantations are provided with free cancer treatment at TMC.
