Case Study: Dimbeshwar Rabha

Dimbeshwar Rabha has been a part of an integral project – ‘Small Farm Integration for Sustainable Agriculture and Improved Access to Market’ – funded by Tata Trust. The impact that resonates through his project cuts across the three very important aspects of socio-economic mobility keeping in mind environmental sustainability. He has been able to create a team who has acquired his knowledge management skills regarding multiple cropping and demonstration of farming along with the most relevant mode of business – in black pepper and turmeric.

Automatic water level controler electrical project

APPITI, Rowta Electrician trade trainees had recently taken up a project of preparing a model of automatic water level controller. Enthused by the management staff and the trainers, the team of trainees have designed the model by using relay, step down transformer, diode, coil with plunger set, indicate lamp and a switch for manual controlling purposes.

Urbashi Doley

Urbashi Doley, Daughter of Lakhya Nath Doley comes from a very interior village of Sialhute, Dhemaji. She belongs to a poor family where the members barely managed to have three meals a day. Being the eldest daughter of the family she had the responsibility of helping her father. She then joined DDU-GKY at VTC, Chabua and successfully completed the course. After completion of the training she was placed at Royal Classic Mills, Tirrupur, Tamil Nadu and promoted as a supervisor. Now she is very happy to support her father in taking care of her family.

Belonging from a border area of Arunachal and Assam, Pinky was very shy girl who was not at all confident in communicating in English. But she had a will to do something in her life. Inspite of her weakness in English she dared to join the Customer Care Executive Course at Chubwa, worked hard to improve her communication skills. Mithu Sonowal

Mithu Sonowal, hails from rural area of Chabua. Financial constraints have been the challenge she and her family has faced since long. It was she who decided to develop skill through training and become an earning member to ease the financial burden of her father. She underwent the DDU-GKY Sewing Machine Operator Training at Chubwa and was soon employed at Royal Classic Mills, Tirrupur, Tamil Nadu. Her sincerity at work earned her the position of a supervisor within few months of work. But destinty had different plans for her.
