Vocational Training Centre (VTC) Chubwa was set up with the objective of training the tea garden youth in various skill and income-generating activities, with a vision to build a skilled workforce within the community to ensure sustainable development. The Centre offers short-term courses for industrial Sewing Machine Operators (SMO) and Customer Care Executives (CCE). Post placement support is a unique approach to link the trainees to income generation this leading economic sustainability of poverty ridden families. Facilities as pick and drop for all female trainees ensure the safety of the trainees which adds value to the initiative.

85% of the SMO candidates who are mostly from BPL background are now employed after availing the course. 67.55 of the CCE candidates have been placed as well and all of them are working.
