Lilima Tanti, daughter of Ajoy Tanti comes from interior Tea garden and belongs to a poor family of Chabua, District Dibrugarh of Assam. The annual income of her entire family was around 48000/- only which posed a great challenge to sustain the family. When Lilima learnt about the training being provided under DDU – GKY at Chubwa, she decided to join the course with a dream of one day helping her family. She has completed her training successfully as a Sewing machine operator and now is placed at Royal Classic Mills, Tirrupur, Tamil Nadu. Now working for more than a year she has been promoted to a supervisory role. With her earning she is not only sustaining herself but also adding to her family income.
